LCSoft Version 1.8.3 - Release Notes
New Features:
- Split Database - LCSoft now has a split front-end/back-end database format. You'll now see two files: lcsoft.#.#.#.accde and lcsoft_be.#.#.#.accde. All of your data will be store in the _be file, while the other file is strictly front-end application stuff. This makes a few things possible:
- You can now just backup the _be database.
- You can move the _be database anywhere and "Relink" the application to the backend database using the built-in relinker tool found in the top bar.
- You can share just the _be database with a co-fts.
- Two people can use the same database at the same time. Putting the _be database up on a network share, another user can relink their frontend database to your _be database. Both people can be doing data entry at the same time, but we caution users to stick to different breeds/records so there are no write-conflicts.
- As long as the minor number doesn't change, the "8" in 1.8.3 in this instance, you can just point your new version frontend, say 1.8.4 to the old backend without having to perform an "Import from Access" migration. If the minor version changes, something might have changed in the backend and it is advised to perform a full "Import from Access" migration.
- Fillable Forms - LCSoft ships with current AKC Fillable forms for event applications as well as event secretary reports. When generated from within the program, a new fillable pdf will be created and populated with information from LCSoft such as trial info, entry counts, commitee personnel, judges and assignments, etc... The fillable form will be on screen for you to finish, such as putting in a credit card number, because some stuff we don't want to store in a database, and then you can save or print your pdf form for submission.

- Updated the FastCAT electronic submission format.
- Fixed issue with import from Excel.
- Fixed issue with Breeder/Kennel stake miscalculating total when a dog was entered in more than one stake in the trial.
- Fixed issue with New Trial -> Start Date acting really annoying and weird. Hopefully, the imput mask behaves itself better.
- Fixed CKC Sprinter multipier.
- Skipped a few build numbers (1.8.0 -> 1.8.3) due to in-house and specialty builds for certain events.
LCSoft Version 1.7.2 - Release Notes
New Features:
- AKC FastCAT CSV Export! When closing a FastCAT, you can now generate the CSV file that the AKC will accept for electronic records submission.
Updates:
- Layout changed to a split vertical form left and right on the Trials screen.
- Dropdown menu at the top now has the New/Lock/Delete a trial buttons
LCSoft Version 1.7.0 - Release Notes
New Features:
- ASFA Approved! The ASFA Board has approved LCSoft to perform an electronic draw! The system will now default ASFA trials to "Full Draw" and the warning is removed.
- ASFA Event Report! The new ASFA event closing report has been added and will automatically fill in the trial information and entry numbers.
- Multiple Tabs! Running multiple CAT's or FastCAT's and tired of closing and reopening to switch between tests? Now you can simply click back to the Trials list and open an additional Trial/Test Scoring tab for your other events!

Bug Fix:
- Fixed a bug in ASFA trials with LCI/Singles and determining whether a stake/trial was completed in order to trigger a prompt.

- Fixed a bug which was throwing an error whenever placements were being calculated for only a single judge.
LCSoft Version 1.6.0 - Release Notes
Changes:
- Fixed issue where placements were erroneously awarded to dogs who did not have enough points to qualify.
- Column widths will now be saved on the Test Scoring screen (JC, QC, CAT, FastCAT, etc...)
- "Ribbon Labels" button added to Commands tab on Trial Info form. This will open a report of placements which will print on Avery 5160/8160 type sticker labels so they can be applied to the backs of ribbons.
- Canadian Kennel Club (CKC) Sprinter program added!
- Australia National Kennel Club (ANKC) Rules Revision fixes:
- Altered JC and JC (CA) stakes to be Pass/Fail Only
- Columns on Test Judging form will now lock and shade out when appropriate for each stake
- Placements for 1-n on Test Scoring for Singles and CA will automatically be calculated.
- Removed Points column for Test Scoring.
- Scoresheets will open from Test Scoring appropriately now.
- Certificates for Open and Qualifying have been fixed; other certificates removed.
- Points for Trial Scoring will now calculate after a stake is finished when plaements are assigned.
- Added VFCh stake.
