Roll Call

For each Roll Call section, Test and Trial, there is a Report and the check-in form. To begin, we'll assume we're running tests in the morning, so first we'll pull up the Test Roll Call Report

Test Roll Call Report

This should be printed and handed off to the roll call committee so they can check-in the dogs entered in the test.

Along with the name, sex and stake, there's a portion at the top that lists breeds with conformational disqualifying faults and what those are.

Trial Roll Call Report

You can bring up a separate roll call sheet for the trial entries. This is useful if you run JC/QC's first thing in the morning, the roll call committee can quickly get through the test entrants first and get the sheet back to you while keeping the trial roll call sheet and continue the check-in process.

Roll Call Check-in

Once members taking roll call have finished, with checked-off form in hand, click "Roll Call". This is where you will let the program know that the dogs have passed roll call and should be fully allowed in the test & trial and to be drawn and scored.  There are several columns you can edit, but the most important one will be Roll Called.

  • Roll Called: Unchecked: Not drawn into the test/trial.  They will show up on scoring sheets with a line through their row, crossed out.
  • Stake: Can change stakes if necessary, ie: move from Open to FCh.
  • Sex: Can edit to show on roll call report for committee's benefit.
  • Reason: Reason the dog was not checked in. Some examples: Lame, In Season, Absent, etc..
  • Order Number: Some venues such as AKC CAT, AKC FastCAT and ANKC Tests & Trials will have an Order Number column visible.  This column will help specifically order the hounds onthe judging sheets.  In FastCAT's, if the order number is left blank, it will be automatically filled out in the order the dog ran as the dog's time is put in.
  • Height: Used in some venues to determine which stake the dog *should* run it. Does not determing the stake within the program, but will factor into score calculation for some venues such as AKC FastCAT's.

Filter Roll Call

Filter the roll call form so that only test entries in this case are visible. Now, you may easily check off the hounds which have passed roll call and can be scored or drawn into the trial. Check the roll called hounds in the Roll Called field. If anyone didn't pass, you can put in a Reason in the field. That reason will show up on the score sheets later.

Quick Tip: It's faster to press the down arrow and hit the spacebar to check each subsequent row instead of mouse-clicking each checkbox.
