Install and Configure

Before continuing, please make sure you've read through the following pages and have a grasp on the basic concepts.

The follow instructions will focus on the portions of the program unique to AKC FastCAT & CKC Sprinter.

Entries & Stakes

Hounds Button

When entering dogs, make sure to enter the Height of the dog.  This will be used during score calculations for handicap determination.  A height of 0 for a dog will result in a handicap of 1.

The following Event Stakes are available for AKC FastCAT's:

  • FastCAT - General FastCAT stake.  All entries may be entered in this single stake, or you can choose to enter them in the (*) stakes instead.  The benefit of the divided stakes is that the scoresheeets will be grouped by the stakes.
  • FastCAT (<12") - Stake for dogs shorter than 12 inches at the shoulder
  • FastCAT (12"-18") - Stake for dogs between 12 inches and 18 inches at the shoulder
  • FastCAT (>18") - Stake for dogs over 18 inches at the shoulder
  • FastCAT (Sighthound) - Stake specifically for sighthounds

* The Stake the dog is entered in WILL NOT determine its handicap for scoring purposes.

The following Event Stakes are available for CKC Sprinter:

  • Sprinter - General Sprinter stake.  All entries may be entered in this single stake, or you can choose to enter them in the (*) stakes instead.  The benefit of the divided stakes is that the scoresheeets will be grouped by the stakes.
  • Sprinter (<12") - Stake for dogs shorter than 12 inches at the shoulder
  • Sprinter (12"-18") - Stake for dogs between 12 inches and 18 inches at the shoulder
  • Sprinter (>18") - Stake for dogs over 18 inches at the shoulder

* The Stake the dog is entered in WILL NOT determine its handicap for scoring purposes.

Roll Call & Order Numbers

Roll Call Button

During the Roll Call check-in, you can make adjustments to the Stakes and the Heights of the dogs.  Roll Call is the best time to make sure you have all your dogs' heights entered correctly and completely.

For the Order Number, you have two options:

  • Leave them blank - During the Test Scoring, the order number will auto-fill with the next count integer.  This will maintain a scored order for how the dogs ran or at least the order the results were put into the system.
  • Fill them out - Use the Sort menu button at the top, you can sort the Order Number, Name, Stake or Height.  From there, you can use the Ordering menu button to either Set the order which will number from 1 to n down the list as it is currently ordered or Clear which will remove all ordering from the entire list.

Test Judging Sheets

Roll Call Button

For the judging sheets for the FastCAT and Sprinter, you have Split Stakes checkbox option.

  • Unchecked - All entries will be grouped together and printed out on the judging sheets by order number then call name.
  • Checked - Separate sets of judging sheets will be printed out for each stake (<12", 12"-18", >18") and within each set, the dogs ordered by order number, then call name.
